evading study

I'm such a solitary animal.
By choice.
(:

*on a side note, you're the reason I'm like this. You left us to pick up the pieces. Well, there wasn't much to pick up because you took it all, and what you didn't take you crushed. So even though its you thats trying, I realise I'd rather have nothing from you. I don't want you to think feel like you've done us any favours. I don't want you to think we need you, or that we rely on you for anything. Because we don't. We're perfectly fine. I am perfectly fine.
What I do want, is for you to feel bad. Really, really bad.
But I also want you to be happy.
I want your life to be a good one.
I want the people around you to treat you with love and care.
More importantly, I want you to treat them with love and care.
They're all you've got now.
Realise that.

back to study

I never really pay attention to lyrics when I'm sitting in the car. So up till now, this was just ... that new song.
Then I watched the video clip, and realised how sad it was.

Summer after high school when we first met
We make out in your Mustang to Radio head
And on my 18th birthday we got that chain tattoos
Used to steal your parents' liquor and climb to the roof
Talk about our future like we had a clue
Never plan that one day I'd be losing you

And in another life I would be your girl
We keep all our promises, be us against the world
And in other life I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away

I was dreaming you were my Johnny Cash
Never one, we got the other, we made a pact
Sometimes when I miss you, I put those records on, whoa
Someone said you had your tattoo removed
Saw you downtown singing the blues
It's time to face the music, I'm longer your muse

And in another life I would be your girl
We keep all our promises, be us against the world
And in another life, I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away

The one, the one, the one
The one that got away

All these money can't buy me a time machine, no
Can't replace you with a million rings, no
I should've told you what you meant to me, whoa
'Cause now I pay the price

In another life I would be your girl
We keep all our promises, be us against the world
And in another life, I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away

The one, the one, the one, the one

And in another life I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away
The one that got away

goodbye

I really does feel like a break up, with work?

Okay, sounds stupid but after a year of working there, I really did fall in love with the job as well as the people. And to suddenly have it gone from my life, theres a gaping hole in my heart. In all seriousness, I can't stop thinking about being at work. I think about the people, I think about the conversations and fun that I'll never be a part of again. I even think about the annoying customers that come in to tell us we suck. Yes, I miss that too.

And because 'work' is in fact not a living, breathing ... thing that will think about me too, I'm feeling completely stonewalled by it. Ah work, why won't you call me? Why won't you send me a casual text to say hello? (granted, my workmates do that. Did I say workmates? I meant ex workmates)

I'm even showing all the signs of a broken relationship. I've gone and rebounded onto a different telco. In a few months I'll probably be blogging about my new job-relationship gone wrong.

sighsighsigh.

All things happen for a reason.
Imma just go through all stages of grief. Remain internally dramatic about it.
And like all breakups, I'll get over it eventually.

For now, I'll just sit here and think about you guys. Oh how I miss you all.
