The moment when your mother asks if you're a happy person,
and you can't answer,
because you realise you're not.

I no longer care.
thank you, for the reminder,
that you aren't proud of me.
that you are in fact, quite ashamed of me.
yes, thank you.

I love Jesus
Someone once told me he thought I would outgrow my faith. We could argue for hours, my faith versus his ... well, nothing. He'd tell me that my religion had set a restriction on my life, that I had limited myself to a small part of what the world had to offer. And I'd tell him everytime that he was wrong. There is no restriction, its a personal choice to live the way I do, its a set of values and beliefs that I go by. I have no wistful desires to live my life any other way.
I love Jesus. He's shown me mercy and grace countless of times. He's been right by my side even when I've ignored Him and turned my back on Him. At XEE last week, a good example was made. Say you've got a neighbour who never says hi, never waves, never even points a smile in your direction. One day, you buy yourself a shiny, sexy new sports car and BAM - neighbour shouts hello, waves, waits by your driveway to have a chat. And then neighbour asks if neighbour can borrow your car for the weekend.
How likely are you to say yes?
I personally, would just slam my door in my neighbour's face.
Sometimes, I find myself being that neighbour to God, and yet the next day I find the answers to my frantic prayers. Quite frankly, its amazing. Being a Christian is a blessing, its a comfort, its wonderful - to know you're never alone, that someone is constantly there for you.
So when my friend told me he thought I would outgrow my faith I laughed, I told him it would never happen that I could bet anything on it.
